PB&J for Every Grown-Up Taste
October 26, 2011"The Nut Butter with Extra Health Benefits
Spread Health Foods' Nutmeric Ultra is the best thing to hit pretzels and other salty dippers since spicy mustard. Similar to that classic condiment, this spread has a little zip to it, thanks to turmeric, a spice in the ginger family. And Dr. Oz tells us turmeric may help prevent Alzheimer's disease because of its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action and immune-boosting properties."

Rich creamy almonds, slightly sweet honey, and a curious hint of turmeric, black pepper, and sea salt. Spread it on crackers, apple slices, or carrot sticks, drop a spoonful in your smoothie, or straight out of the jar standing by your fridge in the middle of the night...(oops, did we say that?) Anyways, the possibilities are endless."

Turmerific Nut Butter!
May 28, 2010 at 1:46PM by Eric Steinman"Turmeric has been billed as a wonder spice. This yellow-orange rhizome (that is also a relative of the more often used ginger) is a South Asian culinary mainstay and is recognized as having tons of medical uses and applications. It is a natural antiseptic, antibacterial, a liver detoxifier, and credited with all sorts of fighting and anti-inflammatory properties. Sadly, most people in this country have little appreciation, use, or culinary understanding of turmeric, and it is therefore relegated to the back of your spice rack (if it is even there at all).
However if there is one thing that Americans love (besides hot dogs, all-you-can-eat, and rollover minutes) it is nut butters. An enterprising called Spread Health Foods has a product devoted to getting turmeric into your weekly (if not daily) diet and that is Nutmeric Ultra. This finely milled organic almond butter contains honey, garlic, black pepper, a bit of sea salt, and a liberal dash of turmeric giving it a rich, ochre color. The flavor, while more savory than sweet, is warm and peppery (like a mildly sweet and subdued mustard) and as good on toast as it would be mixed into a dipping sauce or even a salad dressing. Supposedly the mixing of the turmeric with the natural almond oils in the nut butter make for better and more efficient absorption of the healing properties of the spice..."

Four Products You Can't Live Without
January 19, 2010 by Eric Burkett"Everybody uses nut butters," said Krishnaswami Raja, the genius behind Nutmeric. "If every 4-year-old boy eats a jar, I can form a company." Raja's a chemist and he's on hand to sell Nutmeric turmeric and nut spreads. His mission? "To reduce the inflammatory disease burden of our planet through irresistible scientific super foods" and turmeric is the super food he believes in. Blended with almonds, honey, and various spices and flavorings, Nutmeric provides at least 500 mgs of the pungent, yellow spice which helps combat inflammatory diseases such as colon cancer and Alzheimer's. But what about the taste? Actually, it's pretty good, and doesn't taste like turmeric at all. I'd eat it on toast.
